Russian Soccer Team Subdues Unruly Drunk Passanger on Airline Flight (Video)
In my experience, Russians tend to be more tolerant of public drunkenness than us North Americans. However, like decent people everywhere, they do not tolerate spousal abuse. So when a drunk guy on a recent Russian airline flight from Istanbul to Krasnodar got into an argument with his wife and hit her, members of third division Russian soccer team Chernomorets Novorossiysk stepped in.
The events transpired last Thursday. Witnesses say a booze-soaked passenger, identified as a 28-year-old named Dmitry Podstanitsky, got into a loud argument with his wife and eventually hit her. Then the man got up from his seat and threatened her while standing in the isle. That’s when the soccer team took it upon themselves to settle this guy down.
At first it seems like the drunkard wouldn’t be too hard to contain. When one player walks up to him and places his hand on his arm, the dude falls right down. However, later on old Dmitry puts up quite a resistance, so it does indeed take a team effort to contain him.
Have a look:
Did you notice that the drunk guy is holding a baby bottle there? Yeah, he’s a class act.
