Naked Streaker Tackled by Chicken Mascot at New Zealand Rugby Match (Video)
Streaking at any sporting event is a dicey venture, given the proclivity of security personnel to tackle, tase, and basically subdue interlopers through any means necessary. However, some sports are safer for streakers than others.
For example, skiing seems to be pretty safe. This winter we told you about a guy who got nekkid and interrupted the Ski Jumping World Cup in Slovenia, and he had everyone cracking up.
On the other hand, I’d say rugby is a sport you do not want to mess with. Those guys are pretty much the toughest, most badass athletes on the planet, and they are really good at tackling. If one of them decides to assist the security guards and take you down, you’ll be in a world of hurt. And even if the players don’t go after you, in rugby even the freaking mascots are tough.
Just look at this recent case from a match between the Blues and Highlanders in New Zealand. Some pantsless and presumably drunk gentleman interrupted play and one of the Highlanders zoo animal mascots—a guy in a chicken costume—made the tackle.
Naked in public and tackled by a giant chicken? That is the stuff nightmares are made of.
