More LeBron James Flopping Parody Videos? Yes Please!
Sometimes I wonder whether we’re being too hard on LeBron James. I really do. I mean, when it comes down to it, he actually seems a lot nicer than Michael Jordan. So why do we give LeBron such a hard time about his character even though we basically gave Jordan a free pass?
Then I remembered the answer: despite Jordan’s personal flaws—the gambling, the womanizing, the being a vengeful d-bag—his character on the court was flawless. Can you imagine Jordan running over to the refs with his arms outstretched and a pained expression on his face in the final minute of a crucial game the way LeBron did last night during Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals? Can you imagine Jordan flopping to draw a foul? Because I cannot—though please correct me if I’m wrong.
It’s different with LeBron. Maybe it’s because he’s from a different era, or maybe he’s just not wired the same way. But whatever the case, despite his insane physical gifts, he’s a bit of a whiner. And for that we make fun of him. A lot.
The other day, for example, we showed you that awesome parody of the King’s supposed flopping coach, Frank Calhoun. Now we’ve got something that I think is even more hilarious: a parody of what LeBron’s life is like off the court as he goes about his daily routine. (Hint: lots of flopping.)
