Photo Emerges of Aaron Hernandez Flaunting His Gun in the Mirror
Back when he was a 19-year-old playing tight end for the University of Florida football team, Aaron Hernandez took a selfie of himself brandishing a Glock handgun in the mirror. He may have assumed that the photo would cause at least a bit of a stir when he posed for it, but he probably never imagined that its popularity would peak four years later, on the heels of his arrest for the murder of Odin Lloyd.
TMZ has somehow obtained the above photo of Hernandez toting his gun, which was taken in Gainesville back in 2009. Where they got it from remains unknown.
In addition to the murder charge, Hernandez is also being charged with two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of possessing a large-capacity firearm and two counts of possessing a firearm without some firearms ID card. His request for bail was denied earlier today by Judge Renee Dupuis. Hernandez’s probable cause hearing is set for July 24 at 9 a.m. ET.
