Ice Cube Lashes Out at Dwight Howard, a.k.a. Dwight Coward, During Concert (Video)
Dwight Howard‘s 2012-13 season with the Los Angeles Lakers was a major disappointment. After demanding that the Orlando Magic trade him during the summer of 2012, Howard landed in Los Angeles, where he and his Lakers teammates struggled, finishing in seventh-place in the Western Conference before being swept away in four straight by the San Antonio Spurs.
During the fourth and final game of that series, Howard was ejected after earning his second technical foul with over nine minutes remaining in the third quarter.
That didn’t have to be the way that Howard’s career in L.A. ended. After becoming a free agent at the end of the season, the 6’11 center could have resigned with the Lakers in an attempt to right the ship and make up for last year’s debacle, but he didn’t. Rather, he chose to flee Los Angeles for Houston over the weekend, and that decision hasn’t sat well with some Lakers fans.
One of those fans just so happens to be 44-year-old rapper Ice Cube, as the native of Los Angeles ripped into Howard during a recent concert, calling the former Laker, “Dwight Coward.”
