In case you didn’t hear, the Metta World Peace era is over in Los Angeles. Last night, the Lakers used the NBA’s luxury tax “amnesty clause” to cut the basketballer formerly known as Ron Artest.

Of course, being one of the more, um, eccentric and colorful pro athletes in the world today, you’d figure World Peace would have some pretty amusing thoughts on his sudden unemployment. After all, this is the same guy who responded to questions about his return from surgery back in April by quoting Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.”

So what did he have to say about getting dropped by the Lakers? Well, he wasn’t mad. He just went on Twitter and mused about all the possible new career paths that lay before him.

Take a look:

Personally, I’d love to see Mr. Peace playing hockey. With his height and propensity for throwing elbows, if the guy could just figure out how to move on skates, he’d be the most fearsome enforcer in the NHL.
