How do you dress for the game? Put on your jersey? Grab your lucky hat? Maybe paint your face in the team colors?
Well, whatever you do, you’re not nearly as dedicated as the dudes you’re going to see here. These guys aren’t just fans, or even superfans. They are batsh*t crazy die-hards who live and breath sports, and who also happen to be extremely comfortable with their exceedingly furry bodies. So what do they do for the game? They shave signs into their chest and back hair.
Is it gross? Uh huh. And yet at the same time, it’s pretty much the best thing ever. So you should definitely take a look.
Is Manchester United superstar Wayne Rooney really a fan? Sure he is—he's a fan of his own team. So he commemorated their 19th league title a couple years ago with this beauty.
21. Man-Chest-Hair United Fan
Jorts, straw cowboy hat, and a K carved into his chest? Only in the SEC.
20. Kentucky Fan
Remember back before the Broncos got Peyton Manning and their fans thought Tim Tebow was the best thing ever? That was so cute.
19. Tebow Fan
Now that's some precision trimming. This guy must have seen those Gillette commercials with Kate Upton that play every time I watch a YouTube video.
On an unrelated note, is YouTube trying to tell me something?
18. Longhorns Fan
Judging by the redness of this fella's skin, I'd say he didn't shave that cross of St. George into his chest hair. He waxed it in.
17. One Crazy England Fan
Whereas the previous England fan carved the cross into his chest hair, this portly gentleman here carved it out of his chest hair.
16. Another Crazy England Fan
Fun trivia: apparently "hoki" was an expression people used in the late 1890s to express approval, excitement, and surprise.
It's also what this guy's wife said when he emerged from the bathroom sporting this beauty.
15. Hokie Fanatic
Not a high-fidelity recreation of the Hurricanes logo, but I do like how he does the whole negative-positive thing.
14. Hurricanes Fan
I like how this Milwaukeean outlines the letters with marker, just to make it extra legible. That's smart thinking.
13. Brew Crew Fan
Wow. Now that is one furry beast.
Not even the fact that his school was added to the SEC just so the other teams could have somebody to pound in football can keep this man from displaying his Tiger pride.
11. Mizzou Fan
The ASU Mountaineers may not be a college football powerhouse, but their fans are as dedicated as any.
10. Appalachian State Fan
9. LSU Fan
Seriously, dude? All that real estate, and you couldn't fit an "A" in there? I mean, it's not like you hear people chanting "U-S! U-S! U-S!" at the Olympics.
8. Captain America
Now that's how you do it. These guys coordinated their efforts to do a USA and a set of Olympic rings.
PS, that guy on the left looks awfully disapproving for somebody with hot pink hair, doesn't he? (Though I'm sure it's just a coincidence.)
7. True Patriots
The messed up thing about dudes who carve stuff into their back hair? You know somebody had to help him. And judging by the toys in the background there, I'd say it was either one of his kids or his wife who were charged with that unenviable task.
6. Bruins Fan
This guy was spotted at a Penguins playoff game back in April and became an immediate internet sensation.
5. The Pittsburgh Superfan, Part 1
Then, more recently, he was spotted at Nationals Park when the Pirates were in town.
Obviously, it's not just his loyalty that's made him a minor internet celeb. It's his combination of dense fur and remarkable clipper penmanship.
4. The Pittsburgh Superfan, Part 2
We've seen lots of names and logos, but this is the only guy we've ever seen to shave the back of a player's jersey into his back fur. This guy loves him some Joe Mauer.
3. Twins Fan
If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably NASCAR fans who invented the whole "shaving sports stuff into your body hair" trend. But I have no evidence to back that theory up.
