Stat Line of the Night — 8/14/2013 — Alfonso Soriano

alfonso soriano vs angels

No, you are not experiencing a case of déjà vu.  Alfonso Soriano really has earned our “Stat Line of the Night” for the second consecutive day.

One night after torching the Angels’ pitching staff to the tune of two homers and six RBIs, Soriano was at it again on Wednesday.  In fact, the Yankees outfielder was even better, going 3-for-3 at the dish with another two homers, a double and seven RBIs.  He started things off with a two-out grand slam in the first inning, and followed that up with a two-run double in the second and a solo home run in the fifth, as the Yanks cruised to the 11-3 victory.

For those who have lost count, that now makes it four homers and 13 RBIs for Soriano over the last two games.  And his latest offensive explosion is worthy of “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
