Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno Celebrates Touchdown by Playing Rock-Paper-Scissors (GIF)
Last Monday, during the Broncos’ Monday Night Football demolition of the Oakland Raiders, their running backs turned some heads with a little game they played on the sideline.
With the ball on the one-yard line and another Broncos touchdown looking inevitable, Knowshon Moreno, Montee Ball, and Ronnie Hillman had a little game of rock-paper-scissors to see who would get the carry and, presumably, the touchdown. Or at least, that’s what it looked like. Broncos coach John Fox said there’s no way in hell a game of rock-paper-scissors was going to call the play, that Hillman was going in, and that it was all a bit of fun.
Regardless of whether the game of rock-paper-scissors determined the play, the guys were still seen playing it on the sidelines, and it still ruffled a few feathers. So naturally, during the Broncos’ demolition of the Philadelphia Eagles this week (because the Broncos are demolishing everyone every week), Knowshon Moreno decided to have a little fun with the mini controversy by working rock-paper-scissors into his touchdown celebration repertoire.
Have a look:
Some might call this unsportsmanlike. I call it a really good football team keeping it loose and having fun.
What do you call it?
