The Luckiest Two-Point Conversion You’ll Ever See (Video & GIF)

lucky two point conversion

Here’s the craziest high school football play you’ll see all week, and probably one of the craziest you’ll see all year.

It comes via Iowa, where Gehlen Catholic School (Le Mars, Iowa) was taking on North Union High (Armstrong, Iowa) in their homecoming game.  Following a Gehlen touchdown, quarterback Blake Wiltgen lined up for the two-point conversion, took the snap and rolled out to his left.  But when his options seemed to be running out, he did what any desperate quarterback would do: he tossed the ball blindly into the air.

Luckily for him, it landed safely in the hands of Gehlen senior Colton Kneip, who was standing alone in the back of the end zone.

As impressive as it was, this play meant little in determining the outcome of the game, as Gehlen came away with a comfortable 42-26 victory.
