Three golf posts in one day? This has to be some kind of record. But what can we say? There’s a lot of fun stuff going on at the 2013 Presidents Cup at Muirfield in Ohio.
Well okay, maybe “fun” stuff isn’t the right word for this one. It definitely applies to the first two posts, which were about fuzzy squirrels and secret handshakes. This one, however, isn’t so much “fun” as it is “scary as hell.”
On the 14th hole yesterday, Keegan Bradley hooked a tee shot such that it went way left of the fairway, over the bunkers, and into the crowd. There, it hit a guy square on the head, knocking him off his feet and onto the ground like a sack of potatoes.
It was one of the scariest things we’ve seen at a PGA event in a long time. Take a look:
According to intrepid Golf Channel reporting, the fan was “okay” after the strike, and Bradley did go over to check on him.
(Thanks for the update, guys. You really painted a picture for us.)
Hopefully Keegan did this to cheer him up.
