Dodgers Fan in Bear Costume Dances on the Cardinals Dugout During Game 3 of the NLCS (GIF + Video)
Yasiel Puig wasn’t the only one excited about the big
home run triple he hit off Adam Wainwright last night. The Dodgers mascot was also pretty pumped.
Wait, that’s not right. The Dodgers don’t have a mascot. So I guess…yep…that was just some random fan wearing a bear suit and dancing on the visiting dugout at Dodger Stadium.
Of course, as you probably guessed, fans are not allowed to wear their own mascot uniforms and dance on the visiting dugout during Major League Baseball games. So, yeah, they had to apprehend the Dodgers’ Dancing Bear—much to the displeasure of all the Dodgers fans yearning for a mascot to rally their spirits.
Here’s the bear at the beginning of his routine, with Cardinals manager Mike Matheny blissfully unaware of the shenanigans taking place behind his back:
And here is an Instagram video from L.A.-based DJ Skee, which shows the Bear getting apprehended:
Nice work, DJ Skee. You’re officially a citizen journalist. Now please get Dodgers fans to pool some money together to pay the fines for whoever was inside that bear suit.
