Will Ferrell Reads Starting Lineup as Dodgers Stave Off Elimination (Video)
Heading into Game 5 of the NLCS trailing the Cardinals 3-1, the Dodgers had their backs up against the wall. Yes, they had Zack Greinke going, and if they won they’d have the best pitcher on the planet (Clayton Kershaw) going in Game 6, which actually gave them a pretty good shot at taking the series to seven games. But the odds still weren’t in their favor. So they decided to call in the official good luck charm of L.A. sports teams: Will Ferrell.
Just two days after Ferrell stopped by USC to conduct his alma mater’s marching band, dressed as Tommy Trojan of course, the Dodgers brought Anchorman in to read the home team’s starting lineups.
Take a look:
As you probably know, the Dodgers beat the Cards 6-4 and are now in St. Louis getting ready for Game 6 on Friday night. Given how superstitious ballplayers are, this can only mean one thing: Will Ferrell is going to have to go to St. Louis and read the starting lineup to the Dodgers in the visitor’s clubhouse.
