Stat Line of the Night — 11/17/2013 — Bobby Rainey

If you haven’t been keeping up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as of late but you took a look at their boxscore from yesterday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, you’re probably asking yourself, “who is Bobby Rainey and since when did he become the team’s staring running back?”

Well, with Doug Martina and Mike James both out for the season for the Bucs, Rainey was next in line on the running back depth chart.  And he made the most of his opportunity against the Dirty Birds, carrying the ball 30 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns, while adding two receptions for four yards and another touchdown through the air during the Bucs’ 41-28 beatdown of their division rivals.

After losing their first eight games of the season, the Bucs now find themselves on a two-game winning streak.  And they may have found themselves a hidden gem in Rainey…Or maybe not.  Either way, he still earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, November 17, 2013.
