Portuguese Announcer Gives Greatest Call Ever During Cristiano Ronaldo’s WC Qualifying Hat-Trick vs. Sweden (Video)

Over the past 24 hours, nearly everyone in Portugal has been saying, “Obrigado Ronaldo,” which translates to, “Thank you Ronaldo.”  The reason is quite obvious—Cristiano Ronaldo‘s hat-trick vs. Sweden in the second leg of their World Cup Qualifying playoff has earned the country’s men’s national soccer team a spot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

As for Nuno Matos, the radio announcer for Portugal’s soccer matches, he wasn’t really saying “Obrigado Ronaldo.”  He was screaming it.  At the top of his lungs.  Over and over again.

It all unfolded during Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible performance in Sweden on Tuesday, as Matos became more and more overjoyed with each goal that came off the Portuguese superstar’s golden boot.
