After losing to the Minnesota Wild earlier in the month, the Montreal Canadiens were looking for redemption when the two teams squared off again last night at the Bell Centre. And the redemption they were looking for would be had, thanks in large part to a scoring outburst from Habs forward Max Pacioretty.
Pacioretty entered the game with just two goals in his first 12 games of the season, but he more than doubled that in a single game, as he recorded his team’s first three goals for the natural hat-trick during their 6-2 victory over the Wild.
This was the first time Pacioretty has found the back of the net since October 12, and it marked just the second time in eight games this month that the left winger has recorded a point. Hopefully this will get him going, but for now Pacioretty earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
