DeMarcus Cousins Pulls Teammate Isaiah Thomas Away From a Chris Paul Handshake (Video)
Saturday’s NBA game between the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Clippers got a little more heated than normal, with at least one player taking exception to the usual post-game handshake ritual in a big way.
That player was Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins, who forcibly pulled teammate Isaiah Thomas away from his attempted handshake with the Clippers’ Chris Paul. Exactly what directed Cousins to make such a dramatic gesture isn’t known for sure, but Chris Paul speculated the following afterwards: “He’s young, man. He don’t know no better. He needs some guidance. It is what it is.”
You can see some fairly shaky video of the incident below. And it will be interesting to see if DeMarcus Cousins ever seeks out that “guidance” that Chris Paul says he needs.
