Martin St. Louis may have to make do without Steven Stamkos for a few more months while his Lightning teammate recovers from a broken leg.  But even without his linemate, the 5’8″ winger didn’t seem to miss a single beat during last night’s contest against the New York Rangers.

After being honored with a silver stick and a commemorative plaque—which was presented to him by Stamkos himself—for playing in his 1,000th game last Tuesday, St. Louis went out there and made the most of his special night, scoring two goals and adding an assist during Tampa’s 5-0 victory over the Rangers.

That three-point performance was St. Louis’ second in six games without Stamkos in the line-up.  He’s being relied on to pick up the slack with his team’e leading goalscorer out of the lineup, and he did just that last night, earning him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, November 25, 2013.
