Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman Post-Game Interview With Erin Andrews (Video + GIF )
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman added another incident to the “Controversy” section of his Wikipedia page after Sunday’s victory against the 49ers during a contentious and brief interview with Erin Andrews.
It happened after Sherman’s tip of the ball into the hands of Malcolm Smith for a game-clinching interception during the very end of the 4th quarter. But that victory apparently wasn’t very therapeutic for Sherman, who gave the very heated post-game interview to Erin Andrews, during which he seemed inexplicably angry about being asked to play on the same field with the likes of 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree (via):
“I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me. […] Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”
Whether this is typical trash talk, a la Muhammad Ali, or something more is currently a matter of debate, but it’s a sure thing that both sides of that argument will be watching Sherman closely during the Super Bowl next month.
