Forget Bulletin Boards, Richard Sherman Is Billboard Material in Denver (Pic)
Football fans in the Denver area have a history of putting up billboards with various Broncos-related messages. In 2011, when Tebowmania was just beginning, somebody put up a sign imploring coach John Fox to “PLAY TEBOW!!” instead of poor Kyle Orton. Then in 2012, when former Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil got into some legal trouble over some firearms, a local Denver company put up a billboard advising the guy to “stick with the guns that made [him] a star.”
It should be no surprise, therefore, that the people of Denver are at it again now that the Broncos are back in the Super Bowl for the first time in 15 years. But who do you suppose the billboards will be about this time?
Yeah, duh, it’s Richard Sherman. When the Stanford grad opened his loud mouth the other night on national TV he became instant bulletin board—er, billboard—material for the Broncos and their fans. Now somebody has put up a giant sign comparing the Broncos’ own All-Pro cornerback Champ Bailey to the Seahawks’ Richard Sherman, and Fox Sports’ Mike Garafolo was kind enough to tweet a pic.
The sign only has three words, but the message is loud and clear. Take a look:
