LeBron James Reminds Us that He Is Not Actually Human with this Block on Darren Collison (GIF)
It’s been kind of a rough year for the Miami Heat, by which I mean they’re “only” 35-13 with the fourth-best record in basketball. However, none of their “struggles” are the fault of LeBron James. The Thunder’s Kevin Durant has sort of stolen the spotlight a bit with his otherworldly season, but LeBron is still a superhuman basketball genius. And last night, during the Heat-Clippers game in L.A., we were reminded of this.
With the Heat trailing the Clippers 60-49 and just under a minute remaining in the first half, Los Angeles point guard Darren Collison got the ball in his own end and sprinted down the court, blowing right by Mario Chalmers (dammit Mario!). Chris Bosh made little effort to get back and help, but he thought he knew what we all thought we knew—Collison was going to score.
However, right as Collison was about to gently bounce the ball off the glass and in, LeBron came flying out of nowhere and blocked the sh*t out of that thing.
Take a look:
Blake Griffin had a game-high 43 points last night, but LeBron had 31 to go along with 12 assists, eight rebounds, three steals, and this ridiculously amazing block. Also, the Heat won. So advantage LeBron.
