Tom Brady Records an Eagle at Pebble Beach Pro-Am (Video)
So apparently the second hole at Pebble Beach is usually a par-4 when the pros are playing it, but for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, it turns into a par-5 to make things a little easier on the amateur golfers taking part in the event. But for one amateur golfer, the adjustment seemed to make things a little too easy.
The amateur golfer we speak of is none other than New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who hit his second shot on the par-5 second hole to within 10 feet of the cup during Saturday’s round. And he would connect on his eagle putt, bringing his team’s score up to 11-under par.
Brady and playing partner Ricky Barnes would finish their third round with a score of -13. That would leave them just short of the cut, but you can’t say Brady didn’t do his part to get them a spot in Sunday’s final round.
