Watch Stephen Curry Get Blown Away by His Coach Marc Jackson in a Three Point Contest (Video)
Sometimes a coach has to stroke a player’s eago, and sometimes he’s got to knock a guy down a peg.
This week it was the latter for Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson and star point guard Stephen Curry.
Jackson, of course, was a former point guard himself. He was rookie of the year in 1988, an NBA All-Star in 1989, and the NBA assists leader in 1997, and he averaged 9.6 points and 8.0 assists per game for his career.
Does that stack up against Curry’s current pace of 24.1 point and 8.8 assists per game? Nope. But the 48-year-old coach can still hold his own from beyond the arc, so this week after a practice in Indiana he challenged his superstar point-guard to a friendly three-point contest—and Curry got smoked.
Take a look:
So I guess we know what the Warriors will do if anything happens to Stephen Curry—Mark Jackson may have to pull a Jackie Moon.
