Celtics Fans Cheer For Tupac Look-Alike During Game vs. Warriors Because Their Team Sucks (Pic + Video)
The Boston Celtics haven’t been nearly as bad as people thought they’d be this year. After trading away the remaining members of “the big three” and hiring rookie coach Brad Stevens, people were thinking a 15-win season was within the realm of possibility. Instead, this team has managed to put a few winning streaks together and already has 20 wins.
Of course, in the eyes of some, this only makes it worse. Their thinking goes that, if the team is going to rebuild, they should at least go all-out and win as little as possible. At least that would increase their chances of getting one of the top three picks in the NBA draft, which would mean Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, or maybe even Joel Embiid. But no. This team can’t even lose right.
But why am I bringing all this up? Because I want to provide a little context. Because I want you to understand exactly how Celtics fans were feeling last night when the Golden State Warriors opened up a 31-point lead with five minutes left in the third quarter. And because this is why Celtics fans were so thrilled when they realized there was a Tupac look-alike in attendance—it gave them something to cheer for.
Take a look:
After this, the fans were literally chanting, “LET’S GO TUPAC!” So kudos to the audio/video guys.
As for the look-alike, I’m not sure why he was there, but the resemblance was certainly not a coincidence. You don’t just accidentally make yourself look like a dead gangsta rapper from the 1990s.
