Joakim Noah’s Proud Dad Gives Best In-Game Interview You’ll Ever See (Video)
The vast majority of in-game interviews are pretty stupid. Whether it’s one of the guys in the booth talking to a coach or a sideline reporter talking to a team’s GM, you can be pretty sure that no one will say anything that will add to your enjoyment or understanding of the game.
For that reason, most fans watching last night’s game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat probably just rolled their eyes when ESPN asked Yannick Noah, father of Bulls center Joakim Noah, how much of himself he saw in his son. However, right in the middle of trying to give a halfway decent answer to that stupid question, something genuinely awesome happened. Joakim made a couple of really nice plays at both ends of the court, and his former tennis player dad couldn’t contain his excitement.
Have a look:
Joakim Noah had 20 points, 12, rebound, seven assists, and five blocks in Chicago’s OT win over Miami yesterday. However, rather amazingly, it was his proud father who stole the show.
You gotta love it.
