March Madness: Dayton Goes Apesh*t After the Flyers Beat Stanford to Reach the Elite Eight (Videos)
Does the University of Dayton know how to party? Well, after the Flyers upset the Syracuse Orange in the NCAA Tournament last weekend to advance to the Sweet 16, an impromptu celebration erupted in the streets of the so-called Dayton Ghetto, and University President Dan Curran went crowd surfing in a sea of inebriated students to chants of “Dr. Dan! Dr. Dan!”
So yeah, the University of Dayton knows how to party.
Thus, it’s hardly a surprise that they were at it again last night after the Flyers beat Stanford to advance to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1984.
March Madness indeed.
I generally don’t like telling people how to do their jobs, but if I were on the Dayton city council, I might consider hiring some more riot cops and passing an ordinance banning the sale of alcohol for the next five days. If this is how UD celebrates making the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, just imagine the bedlam should the Flyers get past Florida to reach the Final Four.
