Bench-Clearing Brawl Erupts in Extra Inning of College Baseball Game in Arkansas (Videos)

college baseball brawl

I have no idea if the Central Arkansas and Arkansas-Little Rock baseball teams were bitter rivals prior to last night’s game. However, I’m pretty sure they’re bitter rivals now.

With the UCA Bears and UALR Trojans tied 4-4 in the 10th inning, something happened that caused Bears coach Allen Gum and Trojans coach Scott Norwood to get pissed off and yell at each other across the diamond. Next thing you know the two were standing nose-to-nose, and Gum gave Norwood a little chest bump. After that both teams rushed out to back their coaches, and then another UALR coach shoved Norwood to the ground. That’s when the situation turned into an all-out brawl.

Take a look:

According to people who were there and posted videos online, the game was delayed for about 20 minutes as a result of this nonsense.

Eventually, Central Arkansas won 5-4 in the 11th. So I guess the Trojans will have to avenge their trampled coach another day.
