Bench-Clearing Brawl Unfolds at NYPD vs. FDNY Charity Hockey Game (Videos)
Sometimes we call professional athletes “heroes,” but that is just an exaggeration. They’re not real heroes. At the end of the day, you don’t want your kids looking up to those rich prima donnas. You want them looking up to real heroes like firefighters and police officers—people with character and honor who won’t hesitate to sacrifice their lives for the greater good…or beat the sh*t out of each other at a charity hockey game.
That’s right. Beat the sh*t out of each other at a charity hockey game.
You see, every year the New York Police Department and Fire Department of New York square off against each other in a charity hockey game, and according to people who have gone to the game for 20 years, it’s always a good time.
However, this year it seems the NYPD and FDNY wanted to give the fans something really special. So yesterday at the Nassau Coliseum, home of the New York Islanders, they gave the fans a bench clearing brawl.
Take a look:
Wow. Isn’t that an inspiration? These grown men were willing to pound each others’ faces in just to entertain people who normally have to watch the Islanders.
I hope everyone shows this to their kids so they can learn about true heroism.
