“Buckle Up Baby”: Two-Year-Old Pittsburgh Penguins Superfan Is Intense, Adorable (Videos)
Apparently not all Penguins superfans are old dudes who shave player names into their back hair. Some of them are adorable little babies. At least one of them is a hockey-obsessed toddler with a knack for producing intense facial expressions.
Meet Tyler Avolia. Earlier this season the two-year-old’s reaction to a Penguins goal was caught on camera by PensTV. Then the team decided to turn a catch phrase used by Penguins play-by-play announcer Phil Bourque—”Buckle up, Baby”— into the team’s official slogan for the 2013-14 campaign, and somebody out there in internetland designated Tyler as the “Buckle Up Baby.”
Now he’s a local celebrity. And rightly so, because he is freakin’ adorable.
Take a look:
Tyler’s parents are truly lucky to have such an adorable kid. I don’t envy them, though. This poor guy is going to have one hell of en epic meltdown if (okay, when) the Penguins don’t win the Stanley Cup this year.
Hopefully the Avolias have enough sense to film that and share it with us.
