North Carolina A&T Linebacker Jermane Clark Shot Dead Outside His Home
On Tuesday night, North Carolina A&T linebacker Jermane Clark was shot and killed outside his home in Greensborough, NC.
Police don’t know, or at least have not revealed, much about the shooting so far. All we know is that Clark was “approached” by one or more people around 11 p.m. ET. Shortly thereafter an argument broke out, and that argument escalated to gun violence that left a 22-year-old man dead.
At this point the motive is unclear, but police say they do not think Clark was robbed. And if that is the case, then you would have to think he knew his killer(s), because, generally speaking, people don’t go around killing other people for no reason.
Regardless of who the killers were, though, this is a senseless tragedy, which has obviously shocked the NCAT campus.
Clark played high school football at R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem. He transferred to NCAT from Colorado following the 2012 season so he could play closer to home. Last season he appeared in six games for the Aggies.
