LSU Outfielder Jared Foster Saves Game With Incredible Catch (Video)
The Louisiana State Tigers were poised to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the bottom of the ninth inning against Texas A&M on Friday. After accumulating a four run lead up to that point, the Tigers went and gave up four runs to the Aggies, and were all set to lose the game when LSU’s Jared Foster stepped in and made a game-saving catch in midair.
Texas A&M’s Blake Allemand was at bat with the bases loaded, and if the ball he hit had gone where it was supposed to, the Aggies would have won the game in a walk-off. But it ended up in Foster’s glove, thanks to a gravity-defying play by the outfielder.
Jared Foster’s flight wasn’t in vain, either, since the LSU Tigers took the game by a score of 5-4 in the tenth inning.
