Hero Cat that Saved Kid to Throw Out First Pitch at Minor League Baseball Game (Video)
Surely by now you’ve heard about Hero Cat, right? In Bakersfield, California, a little 4-year-old boy was totally minding his own business earlier this week, riding his bike in front of his house, when a neighbour’s dog calmly walks up to him and attacks, grabbing his ankle, dragging him, and thrashing around.
That’s when the family’s cat, Tara, intervened. She bolted out and launched herself at the dog like a missile, scaring the sh*t out of it. Then she gave chase to make sure the dog knew she meant business.
Crazy, right? Most cats are sadistic serial killers who would totally eat us if they could. But this cat was all like, “hey look at me, guys, I’m a dog!” And it saved the day.
The whole thing was caught on the family’s home surveillance system. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely check it out:
Now, of course, Hero Cat is a celebrity. He maintains a gluten-free diet. He’s got Grumpy Cat on speed dial. He’s even considering becoming a Scientologist.
Oh, and next week, he’s going to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Bakersfield Blaze game. I have no idea who that’s going to work, and I bet the Blaze don’t either. But they’ve got a few days to work on it. I’m sure they’ll come up with something.
You gotta love minor league baseball.
