Cristiano Ronaldo Does Mario Balotelli Flex After Champions League Goal (Video)
Back in 2012, Mario Balotelli probably wasn’t the first person to take off his shirt and flex in celebration of a soccer goal, but he became one of the most famous to do so. So when Cristiano Ronaldo did the same thing after his Real Madrid club came out on top in Saturday night’s Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, the press (or at least this segment of the press) called it an emulation of Balotelli’s move.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Mario Balotelli in the Shirtless Celebration Hall of Fame after scoring the fourth goal of the contest during extra time, clinching Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid. There was probably a little emotional catharsis involved for Ronaldo, since he hadn’t been playing his best game before scoring that final goal.
If you’re familiar with Balotelli’s iconic shirtless celebration, it will be hard to argue that Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t at least a little bit inspired in his celebration over the weekend. You can check it out in the video below:
