Tim Duncan Got Kicked in the Nuts by Russell Westrook (Video)
The San Antonio Spurs thrashed the Oklahoma City Thunder last night to take a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference Finals and move one win away from their second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals. So in the end they went home happy.
However, Tim Duncan certainly wasn’t happy when Russell Westbrook kicked him in the nuts three minutes into the third quarter.
For one thing, getting kicked in the nuts really hurts. For another, said nut kicking occurred right after Westbrook took three giant dribble-free steps and right before the referees called a foul on Kawhi Leonard and sent Westbrook to the line. So Tim was like, um, really?
Of course, Duncan being Duncan, he wasn’t irate. He just expressed his respectful disagreement with a subtle raising of the eyebrows. And that’s only fair, because really, when you think about it, it’s Duncan’s own fault the refs didn’t call the foul. He failed to flop to the floor and writhe around in agony.
Take a look:
If I were the Spurs’ video guy, I’d put together some flopping highlights for Duncan to study on the flight to Oklahoma. That’s one element of his game that really needs work.
