Italian Men Sing Their National Anthem Using Names from Italy’s World Cup Roster (Video)

Italian anthem with player names

With my background being Italian, perhaps it comes with a little bias when I suggest that Italian is the most beautiful language in the world, while Italy’s national anthem is second to none when it comes to pleasing the aural senses.

You may not agree with me at the moment, but that should change after watching the video below.  It features a group of Italian men passionately singing their country’s national anthem using the last names of each of the players on Italy’s 23-man roster for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, as well as their coach, Cesare Prandelli.

And even if this video doesn’t change your mind, at least it will help familiarize you with an Italian squad that will be chasing their fifth World Cup title when they kick off their tournament against England on June 14.
