Here’s the Anti-Redskins Ad That Will Air During Game 3 of the NBA Finals (Video)

Tonight, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, a Native American tribe, will be behind an ad during Game 3 of the NBA Finals that lays out the group’s objection to the controversial Washington Redskins team name. There’s not much reason for me to paraphrase their ad when you can see it for yourself at the bottom of this page.

It warrants mentioning that this was the same ad that was pitched to run during the Super Bowl, but the NFL shut it down.  And while the NBA Finals may not get the same type of ratings as the Super Bowl, a pivotal Game 3 battle between LeBron James‘ Miami Heat and Tim Duncan‘s San Antonio Spurs should still be an effective platform for the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation to get their message out to North American sports fans.

Here’s the video that will see the light of day tonight.

(If you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop during the ad, it happens at the very end.)
