Akron Police, IT Guys Bracing for the End of the World as LeBron James Nears His Decision (Tweets)
It’s looking like we’re getting closer and closer to a LeBron James free agency decision, and while it might be less of a spectacle than last time, it’s no less of an event.
In anticipation of an announcement tonight, LeBronJames.com has crashed due to heavy traffic, the media are stalking him like he’s 2007 Britney Spears, and police in Bath (an Akron-adjacent township where LeBron hangs his hat) are increasing patrols near his house.
Unfortunately, none of this fanfare gives us one goddamn insight into what his decision is going to be. However, Cleveland is pushing through its cap-space trades like it’s on a mission from God, and word is that they’re all finalized.
Signs softly pointing to “Cleveland.”

Hunch in Bath Twp. is that LBJ’s coming home, all things are positive. Still nothing official, but police told to “be prepared.” #kingjames

Amidst all this hubbub and anticipation by Cleveland fans, it’s kind of fun to put yourself in the headspace of a Miami Heat fan right now, the likes of whom are probably thinking about nothing more than the Kardashians and a nice bowl of quinoa.
