Tiger Woods Is Having a Rough Day (Pun Intended) at the 2014 British Open (Videos)
Good old Tiger Woods played his first round in a major at the British Open yesterday. He had a bit of a rough start, recording bogeys on his first two holes, but he finished strong with five birdies in six holes for a 69, which put him just three back of leader Rory McIlroy.
Considering the guy had back surgery back on March 31, that’s pretty good. However, Tiger being Tiger, he said he was going to improve on Day 2. Then he headed out to practice.
Unfortunately, that prediction for Day 2 was not 100% accurate. Today, Tiger is off to an even worse start than yesterday. And I’m not even going to bother describing what’s happened. I’m just going to show you:
I just really love the commentary on that last one. The guy knows he is watching Tiger totally fall apart, and it is not pretty.
Anyway, that is why Tiger is sitting at +3 after just two holes. Kind of makes you feel better about your own golf game, doesn’t it?
