Pittsburgh’s Josh Harrison Offers Up Some Wacky Baserunning Against the Rockies (Video + GIF)
If I had done what Josh Harrison had just done before the above picture was taken, I wouldn’t look cool and composed like he does. I would be convulsing and vomiting, and my legs would probably look like this.
Mr. Harrison just ran what is probably the equivalent of “to the moon and back,” evading a real dilly of a pickle after getting caught between the shortstop and the third baseman, then the shortstop and the pitcher, then the pitcher and the catcher…I think. I started to get a migraine keeping track of who was where. You could only imagine how Harrison felt when he was in this situation.
Check it out:
There a rule about changing your route on the base path to avoid a tag that Harrison seems to break here about three times. But in all likelihood, the ump is probably just as confused as we are, so we’ll let this slide. I mean, at the very least, he probably wanted to see how this played out.
I bet he wasn’t disappointed.
