Texans Rookie Jadeveon Clowney Spares RB Dennis Johnson His Wrath in Camp Drill (Tweet and Video)
Jadeveon Clowney came into the draft a highly-touted prospect, with many thinking he was the lock for the #1 pick. However, as analyses came in, and pundits had to pick SOMETHING to be critical of, they claimed that Clowney lacked the bulk and strength that many teams would want in a DE.
This video of a scrimmage/drill at Texans training camp demonstrates when you’re as fast as Clowney, there’s no one left to out-muscle. He busts through the line very quickly (to be fair, it’s hard to tell if he was assigned a proper blocker), and stuns RB Dennis Johnson by meeting him in the backfield right around the time he gets handed the ball.
Because our Clowney God is a merciful God, Clowney pulls up during the play, and leaves the running back with limbs and head intact.
Here’s the video. It may induce a little vertigo, but it gets the point across:

Kinda makes you want to see him in action in a regular season game, no?
HURRY UP, REGULAR SEASON!
