While the NFL hasn’t experienced the hyperexpansion that plagued many leagues, it has been growing steadily over the past 80 years or so. And although the cities that have teams haven’t changed TOO much, those cities’ teams, and those teams’ logos sure have.

If anything, this video will make you nostalgic for the simpler logos of the 70’s and 80’s. Even if they were kinda ugly, at least they weren’t using seven colors and art deco design to get their point across.

Watch the video, and determine which logos you miss most:

If you answered, “Patriot Pat, old Broncos logo, and the Houston Oilers,” then you are correct and you have impeccable taste. Have you ever considered graphic design? I think you’ve got a real future there.

I would advise stopping before about 1994, which is about the time that Jacksonville, Carolina, and Baltimore all started getting flashy on us.
