Pacer’s Paul George Lets the Healing Begin by Buying a Ferrari 458 (Pic)
The subject matter of this story almost sounds like a drunk game of “Would You Rather?” So let me frame it that way…
“Let’s say that you’re an emerging NBA star, but not heading into a contract year. Would you allow yourself to suffer a terrible compound leg fracture that rips through your skin….
it meant that you could go out and buy any car of your choosing, regardless of cost? Also, even though you’re an emerging star, you don’t make a lot of money, and you’re sidelined for a season. Finally, the team that you play for is the Pacers, and you’ll be driving the car in Indianapolis. I don’t know if that matters, but in the interest of full disclosure, I’m telling you.”
To aid your decision, here’s a pic of the car:
Of course, you’d answer, “no.” Paul George suffered one of the most violent injuries the sport has ever seen, and would definitely rather be representing his country, as opposed to shuffling around in a full-leg cast in a sports car.
But still, that car is pretty sweet. I’m not saying money fixes things, but between this car, and that hug from Coach K, I’m guessing my leg would heal up in no time, like the T-1000.
I certainly wouldn’t allow my leg to be broken for that car, but I would probably have to talk myself out of breaking someone else’s leg to get it. I mean…that red leather is pretty sharp.
