Kid Gets Hit in the Head by a Foul Ball, But Luckily He Was Wearing His Protective Popcorn Bucket (Video)
At the Nationals-Diamondbacks game last night in Washington, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Bryce Harper ripped a foul ball down the first base line that took a funny carom off the wall, bounced up, and hit a kid right in the head.
However, there’s no need to worry. The kid is totally fine because he was wearing a popcorn bucket on his head.
That’s right. A popcorn bucket on his head. It turns out that, in addition to looking super cool, popcorn buckets actually provide a decent amount of cranial protection. Honestly, why spend all that money on high tech batting helmets, hockey helmets, football helmets, and bike helmets? Next time you’re at the movies, just grab a few popcorn buckets out of the garbage, wipe out the fake butter, and you’re good to go.
