Nebraska Cornhuskers Make Heartfelt Video for Jack Hoffman as He Begins Another Round of Cancer Treatment (Video)
Last year, the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team heard about a diehard fan named Jack Hoffman, who at the age of seven had been battling brain cancer for two years. So they invited Jack to take part in their spring game, then they put him in and made sure he scored a touchdown in front of 60,000 screaming fans.
It inspired a trend, and it was awesome. Jack even became a bit of a household name.
Unfortunately, this week the Huskers learned that Jack’s cancer had returned, and that he and his family had travelled to Boston for another round of treatment. Apparently there is reason for optimism, and Jack will probably handle it all like a champ. Nevertheless, head coach Bo Pelini gathered his guys around and told them the news, and then they all made a sweet video telling him he’s part of the team and they’re all there for him.
Classy stuff from the Huskers.
Good luck, Jack. Get well soon!
