BYU QB Taysom Hill Leaps Over Longhorns Defender, Into Endzone, Onto Heisman Radar (Video)
If you look at the typical quarterback state, BYU’s Taysom Hill had a pretty pedestrian outing agains the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. The guy threw for just 181 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.
However, on the ground, Hill was the difference maker. The Cougars QB ran the ball 24 times, racking up 99 yards and three touchdowns. And one of them was a 30 yard run in which he leapt over an oncoming Texas defender like he was an actual cougar.
Take a look:
Thanks to Hill, BYU went on to destroy Texas 41-7. And when you add this performance this to BYU’s 35-10 win over Washington, in which Hill threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 97 yards and another two touchdowns? Well, I think it’s pretty clear that, just two weeks into the 2014 college football season, Taysom Hill is the leading Heisman Trophy candidate. Obviously there is a long season to go, but so far this guy has been an absolute monster.
