Bengals’ Tyler Eifert Suffers Gruesome Elbow Injury (GIF)
The NFL season only just started, and we already have a gruesome injury for the time capsule (we are still putting gruesome football injuries in the time capsule right? I’ve been burned on this before). The lucky winner this time is Tyler Eifert, tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals, who suffered a nasty dislocated elbow during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
When I say “nasty,” I’m not just referring to the severity of the injury, although it definitely was quite severe. I also mean “nasty” in the visual sense, as the photo above demonstrates. Here’s another look, courtesy of a tweet from CBS’ Will Brinson:

This probably goes without saying, but Eifert didn’t get back into the game after this injury. He finished with three receptions for 37 yards in just under a quarter of action.
Reports indicate that the second-year tight end may have suffered a dislocated elbow, which would likely keep him out for an extended period of time. That’s bad news for the Bengals, who were expecting a big things from Tyler Eifert during his sophomore season.
You can watch the play that Tyler Eifert will replay in his mind every time it rains for the rest of his life in the GIF below:
