#NFLMusicians Is What Happens When You Mash Football and Pop Music Together

#nflmusicians - flock of seahawks

Earlier this summer, the hashtags #NBAmusicians and #NBAsitcoms took social media by storm.

What was it all about? Well, it was pretty simple, really. The #NBAmusicians tag was applied to posts containing puns that combined NBA players and musicians (e.g. Rich Barry White), while the #NBAsitcoms tag was applied to posts containing puns that combined NBA players and sitcoms (e.g. Boy Meeks World).

It was all very hilarious, as you can imagine. But now football is back so f*ck basketball. It’s time for the internet to turn its attention to a new sports & pop culture hashtag mashup: #NFLMusicians.

This one is still in its infancy, and there are so many more possibilities out there. But we’re definitely off to a pretty good start. Take a look:

I don’t know about you, but my personal favorite is Jadeveon Clowney Possey.  Dwayne Bowie is pretty cool, too.

Got some of your own #NFLMusicians? Well, I’d invite you all to talk it up in the comments section, but I know damn well you only leave comments when I misquote a figure or misspell a word.

Oh, that’s right, internet. I’m calling you out.
