Mighty Mites Football Team Tries to Run Through Banner, Gets Levelled (Video)
The parents of the Walkill (NY) Mighty Mites had the right idea: make their kids feel like big shots by having them run through a banner prior to their first home game of the season.
Unfortunately, whoever the parent committee put in charge of actually making that banner did not take into account the fact that their seven-year-old sons only weigh about 50 pounds a piece. And instead of making the banner out of tissue-thin banner paper like any sane person would do, they made it out of what appears to be some sort of thick, laminated paper. So those poor kids never even had a chance.
Behold the carnage:
The best part about this is obviously the way the kids just keep on coming, each one mistakenly thinking he was going to be the one to finally break through.
Such optimism! Such futility!
On a side note, does anyone else find is weird that they get little girls to be cheerleaders for a little boys’ football team? I mean, that doesn’t seem like a particularly constructive activity for girls that age. Seems to send the message that girls don’t play sports, they watch boys play sports.
But hey, maybe it’s just me.
