Sorry Seattle, But Guinness Says the Chiefs Now Have the Loudest Outdoor Stadium in the World (Pics + Videos)
The Kansas City Chiefs PR department could not have picked a better night to take a run at the Seattle Seahawks’ Guinness World Record for “Loudest Outdoor Stadium” in the world.
If they’d tried at the first home game of the season, which was an embarrassing 26-10 loss to the now-1-3 Titans, poor old Arrowhead wouldn’t have stood a chance. But they didn’t. The Chiefs’ PR department waited until last night’s Monday Night Football showdown with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots which, as you probably know, was a 41-14 blowout victory.
Result: the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium got all the way up to 142.2 decibels, breaking the record of 137.6 set last season by the Seattle Seahawks’ CenturyLink.
And in case you were wondering, no, this is not something they simply announced after the fact. The Chiefs were talking about their run at the record on social media all day yesterday so fans would have ample time to get themselves jacked up—presumably on booze, Red Bull, or both.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell even reported on it.
