The Dallas Stars may not win the Stanley Cup this year, but their social media department is clearly the best in the NHL.
Back in 2013, when the folks running the Dallas Cowboys official Twitter feed went out of their way to insult the NHL, the folks running the Stars official Twitter feed fired back with one of the greatest burns in the history of burns.
Then last season, with Toronto Maple Leafs fans Justin Bieber and crackmayor Rob Ford making asses of themselves on a daily basis, the Stars took the opportunity to troll the hell out of the Leafs when they came to town.
So what has the Dallas Stars social media department done now? Well, last night was “vintage meme” night at the American Airlines Center during the Stars’ preseason game against the Lightning. So they found fans in the stands wearing the jerseys of teams that weren’t even playing and mocked them.
It was brilliant.

And here’s another one featuring a rather embarrassed girl in a Blackhawks jersey:
Some might debate whether it’s a good thing that the Dallas Stars troll fans, but not me. I say keep up the good work.
